Chana Williams1 StarMr. Serrato seems like a great teacher, with all his years of experience but he also seems forgetful at times. He has certain requirements that he himself can not even meet. We spent too much wasted time in his class. If your looking to be disappointed. Then this school is meant for you.Saturday 11th November 2023
Chris Hill5 StarMr. Serrato is one of the best teachers that I have ever had the privilege to work with. Taking karate lessons from him has made a major difference in my life. I really appreciate what he was able to do for me as a small child. Thank you so much for the knowledge, confidence, and self-belief that your classes gave me. 5/5 stars.Tuesday 15th December 2020
Steve Hirzel5 StarMaster Serrato not only is an expert at Tung Su Do, He's an expert at at sharing his knowledge and experience with his students. He matchs and exceeds the joy in seeing his students learn and achieve their goals as much as his students do. Self-defense as with self-discipline builds character and confidence. Master Serrato is a natural leader. If you are fortunate enough to be able to have him as your or your child's instructor, you'll not only learn to be an expert in self-defense but in self-awareness and self-discipline as well.Wednesday 16th June 2021
Sarah Hodsdon5 StarOur entire family (My husband, 3 children, and myself) are all students of Hayme Serrato's Martial Arts studio (started in March 2015). The staff and instructors are not only excellently trained, they encourage the very best out of each and every student. Mr. Serrato is dedicated to the Tang So Do discipline and in order to insure that it is a good fit for anyone wanting to invest in the martial arts, his studio offers a deeply discounted first month of introduction classes where students are provided a uniform (to keep) and the opportunity to earn their white belts (Our family cost was $25 per student for a Spring Break introduction course… the uniform and belt alone are $40 if purchased separately). When a student chooses to continue on past that first month, every student is informed that the studio requires a commitment of 6 months (much like any other seasonal sport or personalized training regimen). The commitment is to insure that your spot and tailored experience is reserved and that your individual goals can be met (having an upfront commitment makes managing staffing requirements, studio time, and perhaps the extra classes needed to accommodate the number of people at various belt levels signed up at any given time, easier). In addition to the wonderful classes, our family (kids 14, 13, and 11) have made incredible friendships in the many unscheduled events (movie night, picnics, karate camps, tournaments, and birthday celebrations) that the studio goes out of its way to plan and host. Students learn so much more than a martial art in this studio… they learn respect for themselves and others, what it means to work towards a personal best, and a skill that is acquired ONLY through commitment, discipline, diligence and perseverance. Our family has been enriched exponentially beyond our monthly investment by Mr. Serrato and his team of Instructors in our lives. We highly recommend HSMA.Monday 31st August 2015
Tim Gray5 StarI have only been a 60 year old student since May 20, 2021 taking Korean Hapkido.
I have been diagnosed as dyslexic, Stage 2 Dementia, 4 back surgeries (Kyphoplasty), numerous operations from a horrific Motocross accident.
Master HAYME SERRATO’S very advanced and professional black belts are very informative, obedient and disciplined (Mostly Patience 😀), while training from exercises to Your own ability to achieve Your own personal goals. I am (still) a 10th.Gup White Belt practicing for testing for My 1st. Stripe towards My 9th.Gup Yellow Belt. If more than the stretches, cardio, exercises, and all around “feeling better than when I walk in the front door” I’m always nervous ( Chronic Hypertension ) I walk out after class and feel so relaxed and in good spirits taking with Me My work towards My own two goals : Obedience & Discipline.
In closing of this short novel, I recommend HAYME SERRATO’S Martial Arts 🥋 classes to all of My family of blood relatives to My best of friends. If it wasn’t for all of his instructors, students, and all around family of new acquaintances, I’m not sure if I would be typing this today.
Sincerely
T.D.Gray
P.S.
I am still learning how to “dance”
